Gabriela Briley is a Bilingual Associate Clinical Social Worker. Gabriela graduated from University of Southern California with her Master's Degree in Social Work and has been serving her community in different areas in the field of social work from working as a therapist at a domestic violence shelter, to providing mental health services to children in the foster care system, to providing mental health treatment to military veterans, and providing inpatient care at a psychiatric hospital to youth and families experiencing a crisis ranging from suicidality, self-harm, violence, and other acute safety concerns. Gabriela has also guided new generation of MSW students at their internship site as a field instructor.
As a clinical therapist, Gabriela is trauma informed and takes pride in creating a safe place without judgement for her clients to take the first step towards healing. Gabriela enjoys witnessing her client's growth. Gabriela uses evidence-based practice modalities in treatment, integrating cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) according to the needs of each client. Gabriela also utilizes psychoeducation to educate clients about the importance of mental health. Gabriela is currently in the process of becoming Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy certified. Gabriela has experience treating Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and has experience working with diverse populations and family systems. Gabriela is genuine, direct, and compassionate and enjoys learning from clients and working together to make therapy a productive experience.
